The Outreach Ministry focuses on projects that serve people outside the church. This includes local community projects like serving meals at Flagstaff Family Food Center, warm clothes drives for local shelters; projects at the state level like Navajo Lutheran Mission and the Grand Canyon food Pantry and global projects like gathering supplies and assembling newborn kits for the Global Health Ministry.
Our congregation is committed to helping people. Here are a few examples of how we are invested in God’s work in the world:
- Family Food Center – Meal Serving
- Card Ministry – Cards for care facilities
- Meals for Lutheran Campus Ministries
- Grand Canyon Pantry
- Outreach Projects with Our Youth
- Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)
In addition to these continuing ministries SOTH has conducted numerous other short term initiatives such as food drives and our chili cook-off fundraiser for various local charities. These activities are examples how God’s church can have a big impact when we work together.
As we continue to do our best to follow the example of Christ, we want you!
We need your ideas, your hands, and your support!
