Members of the Outreach Committee would like to extend greetings to you and provide you with information on how SOTH is reaching out to the world and invite you to become involved!
Our congregation is committed to helping people. Here are a few examples of how we are invested in God’s work in the world:
- Family Food Center – Meal Serving
- Family Food Center – PBJ Sandwiches
- Card Ministry – Cards for care facilities
- Meals for Lutheran Campus Ministries
- Faithworks – Medical missions
- Prayer Quilts
- Fabric Masks for First Responders and more
- Grand Canyon Pantry
- Outreach Projects with Our Youth
- Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)
- Jail Ministry
In addition to these continuing ministries SOTH has conducted numerous other short term initiatives such as food drives and recently responded to an emergency need in the Chinle area of the Navajo Nation to supply several pallets of water for use during the pandemic using $1,500 generously donated by SOTH members. Fabric masks for first responders is another ministry that showed how God’s church can have a big impact when we work together.
As we continue to do our best to follow the example of Christ, we want you!
We need your ideas, your hands, and your support!
If you have an idea of how SOTH can be reaching out into the world or want to get involved with one of the above ministries, please use our Contact Us Page.
